Brandon Pilot, who prefers to go by his last name, started as a young kid who always had a knack for finding the beauty in everything. No matter the age, Pilot continually found a way to ensure that every detail (even the simplest things) had meaning to them. You could tell right away he was destined to be a creative, in every sense of the word.

Coming from a background where creative expression was not usually acceptable, Pilot just focused on his studies. Going down an educational and career path that was more structured and disciplined. However, he never lost sight of his creative heart. Pilot would use his free time seeking something to create, something to design, a way to express himself, even with just simple sentences.

BLK (Beyond Limited Kulture) is something that stood out to Pilot way before he even coined the brand acronym and meaning. The BLK brand started, how most great ideas do, from a conversation amongst a group of friends. The purpose was to gauge the scope of how society can interpret even the simplest of things without hesitation. Pilot then took this conversation and formed something; a name and a phrase that people can coin; but also something they could flip, change, and interpret as they see fit.

Pilot along with the rest of the BLK team wants one thing to stick into their consumer’s minds when they think about BLK and that is that as a society: “We must be everything that we set ourselves to be, we aren’t limited in a commodity. We must aim to inspire life in every essence of our being. Most importantly move forward with a positive progression, because above all…
